Future Farmers of America:
St. Louis-based Monsanto Company provided more than $1 million in sponsorships of National FFA Organization programs, awards, events, student scholarships and more in 2011. Monsanto’s support helped finance the National FFA Organization’s Washington Leadership Conference, National Leadership Conference for State Officers, Agriscience Student of the Year program and 11 other national initiatives.

Indiana 4-H clubs:
Kent Harris, Area Sales Manager and Certified Crop Advisor brought greetings from Monsanto as he announced a new fund-matching opportunity for 4-H Club Community Service Projects in 2011. Monsanto was also the sponsor for the Indiana Adult State 4-H Congress.

SciFest in St. Louis:
SciFest 2010, hosted by the St. Louis Science Center, is a six-day celebration of science and technology. For the past three years Monsanto has been the major corporate sponsor of SciFest with the goal of making science accessible and fun for everyone involved. Many of this year’s activities were geared toward reaching out to young scientists.

Idaho Jr. Rodeo:
The Idaho Junior Rodeo Association began in 1982 and is open to youth from the state of Idaho, ages 0-16. Five rodeos are held throughout the summer season. Contestants earn points towards year-end awards. Monsanto is listed as a corporate sponsor for 2011, 2010, 2007.

Women’s soccer team in Eloy:
The Eloy Guerreras, coached by Aurora Calderon, Juan Velasco and Luis “Chapo” Cervantez, took the sponsorship by Monsanto and didn’t let them down. Not only did they compete in the inaugural league, they finished in first place and won the championship.

The Curling Association of Canada signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Monsanto that includes championships through to 2013. Monsanto has sponsored the Brier since 2006.
